Hello, World!
" CITIZENS OF HUMANITY is the ultimate expression and realization of what a denim company can be," he says. "It is fueled by knowledge, creativity and a love for denim; an enduring symbol of the American landscape which has captured the imagination of the world." - Jerome Dahan
Your one signature style sets the tone for your entire look for the day, but as seasons change, we have to alter our style for what our favorite brands give us. This trickles down to denim too. Denim preferences have changed over the decades and it seems to change more frequently that ever with the growing fast fashion market. The last few seasons have taken a slow movement away from skinny jeans, although I still wear them regularly. Waist rises are definitely higher than they were last season. What use to look like a high rise to us now looks like a mid rise but lets please be thankful for the rid of low, ass crack, thong showing, muffin top enhancer rise is long out of business. Last spring brought us plenty of boyfriend style jeans which are still pretty strong on the market and most recently, flares have been the strong suit - both cropped flares and that ankle length inseam in all silhouettes.
The founder of Citizens Of Humanity, Jerome Dahan, was the first to bring the concept of luxury designer denim to the global market place with over 25 years of experience in the denim industry. Jerome grew up in Paris, of all places we dream of being. He designed his first pair of jeans in the mid 70's that featured an embroidered back pocket - an innovation in the early days of designer denim. Fast forward 10 years, Jerome helped establish Los Angeles as a world capitol for design manufacturing of premium jeans. His passion for denim in both material and an industry, led to multiple high profile design and brand building positions at Guess and Lucky Brand!
He's captivated by the fashion world and rigorously committed to cutting edge denim styling, comfort and fit without compromise and so he established Citizens Of Humanity in 2003. Jerome brought the concept of luxury denim to the U.S. market and didn't stop at Citizens Of Humanity. Jerome designs, markets and produces Seven For All Man Kind, C-of-H, CofH Man, Goldsign, and A Gold E brands in a full vertical factory to ensure the product is unparalleled because this man covers more than 35 countries! Be a Model Citizen and love what you wear.
